September 25th - October 1st

The week before our trip to Rome started off with sore throats and dizzy mornings. I had gotten sick (sjuk). I woke up feeling like I should be spending the day in bed. I decided to not go to class and just focus on getting better. I watched movies and didn't eat much. Linnea and Jack both brought me tea and food from the dinning hall so I could eat something at least. I had missed the presentation on my Scandinavian music group and was told to do the presentation the week later. Our Monday (måndag) night class was cancelled because Marianne (our Swedish teacher) was also sick. On Tuesday (tisdag) we were supposed to have the body parts in Swedish known for a test. Later in the afternoon, I wanted to have fika with Kajsa. I had been feeling like we needed to talk because we were getting distant and our relationship needed some things to be sorted out. We talked for a couple hours and then went to dinner together. The conversation was very fulfilling and mature. On Thursday (torsdag), for our Scandinavian History class, we took a walk into the city to see the landmarks of Jönköping. We ate breakfast and then walked into the city. We talked about Lake Vattern and how the city was once burned down on purpose so it wouldn't be conquered by Vikings. I found the walk very interesting and loved being in the city. The weekend came and this weekend was Homecoming. Meaning that the students who were apart of the College Line at SVF in the past came back to the school to talk to us and hang out with us. We ate dinner together, had fika and some of us went out together. On Saturday (lördag), Gabriel (one of the Indian students), Jack, Olivea, Axel, Oscar (one of the students in the General Line), David, Malin and I decided to go into the city and play billiards. We found out that Gabriel was a professional and taught us a few things. We got pizza and then went home. I was still relatively sick so I decided not to be out too late. The weekend consisted mostly of just staying in, getting better and packing for our trip to Rome on Wednesday (onsdag)!
